Korean American students have been working tirelessly over the last 8 years for a bill that symbolizes the best of America – the DREAM Act. The DREAM (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) Act is tailored bipartisan legislation introduced in Congress on March 26th that would allow eligible undocumented students a pathway to legalization and access to higher education. Korean American students have been in the forefront of our national campaign to educate and organize Korean Americans locally and nationally. Since the re-introduction of the DREAM Act on March 26, 2009, Korean American students have visited over 30 Congress members and collected thousands of post cards; they are working for real changes that will impact not just their generation but the future of America.

Every week, we will introduce you to students, parents, teachers and community members who are committed to passing the DREAM Act this year in our “DREAM SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK.” If you have pictures, videos and stories to share, please message us.
